One Page Creative Ministry Ideas
This exercise was essentially the rostering of 24 people who were each willing to come to our church venue and pray
for a duration of one hour.
On Easter Sunday morning, people are invited to arrive at the church an hour before the normal service time.
The County Prayer Tour is an opportunity for the church body to pray together for our
towns and people in our County, city, town, etc.
Faith begins to grow when people experience God connecting with them and speaking to them throughout the day.
This 66-week exercise involved people from our church body who volunteered to each prepare a 3-minute audio recording.
In an effort to help our church family experience a more multi-faceted prayer life, I have
challenged the congregation to take part in a daily prayer challenge.
In worshipping God, we enjoy fellowship with each other and we grow closer to Him.
ThiFaith in Action (FIA) is a ministry I became aware of at an outreach convention in San Diego in 2008.
We have created an after-school program for the kids of our community.
This 47-Day video devotional series provided a way for our church family to dive into Scripture in the lead up to
Easter.
When a person finds the Lord (or He finds them), I usually begin to follow up with the new believer by using Chic Shaver’s discipleship material (available at the Foundry Publishing Company – there is a printed version and an online version – it is entitled Basic Bible Studies for New and Growing Christians).
Each January, for the past five years, our local church has undertaken a Bible book study. In January 2018 we commenced a study of the four chapters of Colossians.
On the first Friday evening in December, our local church welcomes 500-700 people who enter our building and
experience the sights and sounds of a market street in Bethlehem.
This material is personal to me although the outcome had an apparent effect on those who participated with me in Bible studies. In every church I pastored I led Bible studies whether youth, young adults, middle-aged adults, or seniors.
Prayer-focused Sundays are something we are trying out at Edmonton Southside once a month.
On one side wall near the front of our sanctuary, we have installed a ‘Recall Wall’.
A rule of life is a schedule and set of practices and relational rhythms that help us create space in our busy world for us to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what he did—to live “to the full” in his kingdom, and in alignment with our deepest passions and priorities.
So far, five different people in our congregation have each written a new song to the Lord.

One Sunday, during the regular message, I swung our big platform whiteboard around to face the congregation.
